When will the ‘career academy’ open in Mumbai?

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Monday told a meeting of civic bodies of all sorts that the “career university” in Mumbai, which is currently being set up, will open by next year.

Fadnaws tenure came to an end in March after a public spat over the appointment of a former Maharashtra Minister to run the university.

The government has not given a firm date for the opening of the university, which was to be built on land donated by Fadna and his family.

The minister’s wife Siti Fadnis said the project was being set for a launch in the coming months, which would involve setting up four classrooms and a facility for women students.

“I am looking forward to it and hope it will be open in the next two years,” she told the meeting.
